Job Description:
As a Scheduler your responsibilities will include the following:
Specified required date for the work order, Specified most likely duration of the work order
Allocated scheduled start date, Identified critical issues
Defining a Task start time that fits the completion window (i.e. between the earliest time resources can be available and the latest date that the work can be started and meet the required completion date).
Confirming and allocating Equipment/Workplace access time, and labour and equipment availability.
Confirming labour and equipment availability, aligning and separating Tasks that can be completed together. Separating Tasks that cannot be completed together, Sequencing Tasks that have dependencies.
Review the Work Order Task Status Report on a daily basis, Schedule newly approved work to assist in setting the schedule and to track upcoming work.
Obtain decisions form relevant parties regarding the action to manage critical issues, obtain the agreement to the schedule from all effected parties.
Critical issues identified for the draft schedule are compiled, responsible to ensure weekly Schedule Review Meeting take place as business requirements.
Ensure the 4 weeks schedule are visible displayed to assist line personnel .
Weekly file the signed of execution schedules demonstrate behaviour in line with health, safety and environmental standards and with the companies values.
Report any deficiencies, unsafe workplaces, unsafe acts observed
This role is in the Engineering department at a level Band 7/8 and will be reporting to the Supervisor Planning & Scheduling
Qualifications:
Grade 12
N4 Certificate (Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
Trade Certificate
Driver’s license
Experience:
2- 3 Years in production & production support capacity
Project Planning experience will be advantageous
Workable knowledge of the relevant SAP modules
