General Worker Required: KWV – Paarl

Purpose:  The incumbent ensures that incoming pallets are correctly unwrapped of its shrouding before it enters the depallitiser. The incumbent will be responsible for General work activities primarily based in the depalletising area of the production lines, but will be required to work in different areas from time to time.

Minimum requirements:

Grade 12

2-3 years’ experience in a production environment

Must be willing and able to work shifts and overtime if and when required.

Knowledge required:

Knowledge and understanding of HACCP in a production environment

Good understanding of Manufacturing Process

Understanding Quality in a production environment

Basic knowledge of process control systems and standards

Skills required:

Basic numerical and technical skills

Administration skills

Good communication skills (English & Afrikaans)

Able to work individually and in a team

Problem identification

High attention to detail

Target-driven and focused on continuous improvements

Job Summary:

Implement good housekeeping, hygiene and safety practices

De-shroud plastic from pallets before entry to depalletising machine.

Assist machine operator with cleaning and first line maintenance tasks

Assist with ad hoc duties as and when required

Meet all requirements within set timeframes as per production schedule

Consistently comply with workplace standards and practices

Ensuring all procedures is followed regarding process control

To pay close attention to the condition of incoming materials

Preference will be given to EE candidates
