General Worker Job Opportunity: SANPARKS – South Africa

A challenging vacancy opportunity currently exists for a permanent General Worker within the Technical Department in Mountain Zebra National Park. The appointed participant will be reporting to the Technical Officer.

Requirements

Grade 12 certificate or equivalent

Must have a code 8 driver’s license

Physically fit and able to do physically demanding work

No criminal record – SAPS Verification will be done

General knowledge of Geysers, Tiling, Painting, Aircons and refrigeration.

Willing to work flexible hours

Responsibilities

To assist in managing civil building maintenance by agreed procedures and operational environment.

To investigate and resolve problems that are of a technical nature.

General and administration – including timesheets, logbooks and reports.

Operating of the Waste-Water purification plant and Water purification plant.

Assist with the control of contractor’s behaviour on campsites and infield.

Maintenance of fences, water points, roads and infrastructure.

Assist with maintenance and management of all assets.

Assist with activities in the park as and when required.

Ensure Occupational  Health and Safety requirements.

Vehicle and workplace inspections.

Please Note

Appointment will be in accordance with EE Plan targets.

Successful candidates will be required to stay out of the park, Housing allowance will be allocated. It may be required from successful candidates to work on weekend and Public Holidays.

Preference will be given to individuals who have General working experience.

Salary

R123 884.89 – R165 767.11
