Director: Biodiversity Policy Advice
Salary Level 13
SANBI is looking for a highly motivated individual to provide strategic leadership to SANBl’s policy work; the provision of policy advice to the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment in relation to the implementation of the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act; considering relevant policy and legislation outside the biodiversity sector; engaging new strategic areas of work related to mainstreaming biodiversity in national policy and planning; and providing the special competence required to bridge science, policy and practice.

Director: Research and Scientific Services
Salary Level 13
SANBI is looking for a highly motivated individual to provide the strategic leadership, management and facilitation of foundational research and scientific services within SANBI and the dissemination of knowledge to the research community. The successful candidate will be representing SANBI in national and international forums, contributing to the planning and execution of SANBI research policies, programmes and research directives. Furthermore, the incumbent will formulate and set goals for biosystematics, as part of strategic and business planning for the zoological and botanical components.
