JOB PURPOSE
To install, erect and repair OHTE equipment on a railway line(s) as a result of planned or unplanned construction work to ensure that TFR operating division meet their goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCE REQUIRED
Grade 12 with 3 years of experience or Grade 10 with minimum of 5 years proven experience in OHTE railway construction
Valid C Green certificate
Valid Working at height certificate
Valid First Aid level 1
Knowledge of safety legislation
Physical Fit( Undergo medical examination and be declared fit for duty) Good Communication skills
Identification of tools and material for specific OHTE components
Understanding functioning of hand tool machines, compressor and mounted crane
Good Communication skills
Identification of tools and material for specific OHTE components. Understand method statements, safe working procedure
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Iristall of erect CHTE structures under the control of the Traction linesman.
Assist with the planning and preparation of tools, material required to execute a given
Road, interpret and understand electrification layout and associated drawings
Sale working cheaterce of different electrification systems such as 3Kv DC, 25Kv AC,
50%.x AC and6of1% transmisi?n lines
Vamtification of tools and material for specific CHTE components
Understanding functioning af hano tools inactenes, compresso and rail mounted crane Handling, loading and offloadling of treti andi material fssend arsi monitor condition of hirid tools and measuring tools
