SUMMARY
Succesful supervision and fleet management:
Monitoring all, drivers and vehicles in execution of all loads on the shift, assigning available vehicles and drivers to the route in VFT,
Monitoring real time Status Updated, either by Mobile App, GPS devise and in absence of such update in VFT directly.
Ensuring the compliance with the Client’s SLA by all suppliers, DSV and the Client’s plant. Communicate with RTM and DSV Client plant Management on all exceptions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Liaise directly with the Suppliers, Drivers, Customer RTMS to ensure TRIP adherence.
Communicate with Suppliers and Plant on time window delays and visit site if required to resolve delays.
Monitor all resources per shift, Transport Controllers, Drivers, Vehicles
Ensure vehicle checks are completed prior to shift and end of shift
Monitor individual trip movements to be executed as provided in the Fine Loads Screen and is updated and followed up by Transport Controllers.(Ford)
Ensure appropriate Drivers and vehicles are assigned in VFT to the TRIP
Monitor assigned vehicle and Driver on GPS tracking to ensure on time collection and delivery
Liaise with suppliers on delays at pickup and escalate to Management and CLIENT RTM
Report any vehicle breakdown or delays and take corrective action
Ensure that all loads status’ are updated within VFT within maximum of 15min from time of actual event
Ensure that VFT is updated with all relevant Supplier and CLIENT references on each load
Ensure time of completion of trip times within Trip rate, and should trip time be exceeded report prior day trips times vs plan for rate escalation
Be able to work under extreme pressure and must be willng to work extended hours and weekends
Sound knowledge of vehicle lisencing, COF’s and truck services
Driver behaviour sessions, as per report from Driverisk

Logistics qualification (advantage)
COMPUTER SKILLS
Excell
Tracking and Tracing systems work experience
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
At least 5 years fleet and load management experience within the transport industry
Must have experience with Ultra-heavy vehicles and linehaul routes
Experience in COF’s maintenance and fleet management
Previous experience in working on a Client / Supplier site and controlling of fleet (Drivers and Operation Staff)
Experience in tracking of vehicles and escalations of incidents or out-of-time windows
Planning of loads experience
Cost control and timekeeping of all workers
Sound knowledge of VFT or similar
Sound knowledge of proper fleet control
Experience in counceling, incident reporting and warnings
