Laboratory Assistant Required : Robertson Winery – South Africa
Responsibilities will include:
Recording of all sample information.
Responsible for performing routine analysis of all samples received from the various production areas and external clients. Transfer of test results to appropriate data base.
Accurate preparation of chemical solutions according to set test procedures. Operation of laboratory instrumentation and equipment Preform quality verification checks.
Reporting of out-of-specification results.
Assistance to Micro & Hygiene Manger, Senior Laboratory Analysts and Laboratory Analysts.
Ensure that cleanliness and safety standard are maintained (strict adherence to PPE, lab safety, foodsafety rulesandregulations).
Adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Management System
Skills,experience, and educational requirements:
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12/Matric).
ND in Chemistry/ Biochemistry/Chemical Technology will be advantageous 1-year relevant experience in a laboratory environment.
Short courses in Good Laboratory Practice will be advantageous.
Proficient in computer literacy skills: MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Excellent verbal and communication skills in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken).
High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and work ethic.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Quality orientated.
Dedicated, and Reliable.
