Purpose of Job

To ensure the delivery of a more complex portfolio of Services Procurement in order to meet Sasol stakeholder requirements.

To achieve the lowest total cost supply base and sourcing competitiveness for a portfolio, through the procurement process.

To proactively ensure that critical services are procured in time whilst ensuring proper governance and compliance requirements are met.

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

Execute the procurement process to ensure that cycle time requirements are met, and bottlenecks resolved

Execute the procurement process to ensure average PR to PO conversion time is met

SOX and Supply Chain policy and procedure compliance

Adherence to Sasol’s procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines

Interpret demand signals to create purchase orders for services and ensure timely PO closeout.

PO ‘health’ in terms of PO tracking, and closeout

Execute all expediting activities for POs created Critical / key services proactively expedited

Late / overdue deliveries (noncritical services resolved in a timely manner)

Be accountable for timely escalation with suppliers in cases of delivery time or quality breaches

Issues identified, recorded, mitigated and where applicable escalated appropriately

Enforce collaboration & integration amongst suppliers and, where applicable with services  end users to embed and reinforce a perception of a single supply chain OTIF delivery across multiple suppliers, potentially outside of portfolio

Ensure suppliers are adequately aware of all requirements and protocols (SHE, risk etc. to enable them to service Sasol). No supplier breaches or non-conformance incidents as a result of suppliers not being aware of requirements and protocols

Draft simple once off contracts aligned to POs, leveraging tools and templates provided within the extent of Sasol’s commercial risk exposure related to specific POs

Release Purchase Orders within established DoA framework

Release within lead times and governance framework

Manage suppliers within portfolio of work

Ensure suppliers deliver and adhere to quality, legislative and/or SHE requirements

Formal Education

University Bachelor’s Degree

Min Experience

4+ relevant years relevant procurement experience

Very proficient in Excel
