Job Description

Media24 has a vacancy for a digital savvy journalist with excellent page layout skills in its Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) offices.

You have a tertiary qualification in journalism or relevant programme.
You are skilled in page layout.
You love stories and storytelling no matter what format and platform.
You can write on any topic, especially community issues.
You are based in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).
You have a valid Code 08 driver’s license
Some skills we need:

Excellent storytelling skills both in words and in video format.
The ability to work fast and cope under pressure.
The ability to find a fresh angle on a story.
Excellent general knowledge.
Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Snapchat.
The ability to work in a team and take direction from an editor.
Drive and energy
What you’ll be doing:

Page layout of all EP Media Publications
Producing stories for print editions as well as social media.
Updating EP Media social media and online platforms
Assisting the online and print team with uploading content when required.
