INVITATION FOR YOUTH TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LIFE SKILLS TRAINING AND NEEDS ANALYSIS
The White Paper on Social Welfare (1997) emphasizes on the needs and challenges of the youth as well as specific interventions to be used to ensure development of young people. While National Development Plan lays out an approach with its focus on developing people’s capabilities to be able to improve their lives through programs such as skills development.
Skills development promotes economic growth and social development by creating skilled and knowledgeable communities to an extend that when formal sector hiring is not a reliable way to eam an income, life skills prepare young people to navigate uncertainty in creating their own livelihoods.
TO ensure that young people of Mogalakwena Municipality access life skills training and needs analysis, the municipality is pursuing partnership with t•monal Youth Development Agency (NYDA) to conduct the training as follows:
