Gold One Gedex Project is a gold mine situated in Brakpan in the East Rand, east of Johannesburg, in the Gauteng Province. We are to employ a Project Engineer as per the following specifications.

Job Description
The Engineer provides engineering advice and service to all departments, on the surface or underground through the efficient supervision of engineering services and maintenance of equipment. Plans and forecasts engineering requirements to meet production needs; analyses problems, takes appropriate action, and ensures adequate training and development of engineering staff. Has a Regulation 2,13.1 legal appointment.
Job specification
NOF 6 (diploma or Advanced Certificate) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Government Certificate of Competence-Mines (Electrical and/or Mechanical)
Pr Tech ., Pr Cert ., Eng. Or Pr Eng registration with ECSA or AMRE is highlyadvantageous Project Management experience is highly advantageous
Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering in mining environment
South African Citizenship. Clear Criminal Record.
Note This position wil require the successful candidate to be declared fit by our OHP
Responsibilities
Responsible for diverse engineering aspects related to production and safety and plays a critical role in ensuring costeffective safe production.
Weekly engineering finance planning for conventional and trackless mobile machinery.
Monthly engineering labour planning for conventional and trackless mobile machinery.
Monthly planning on production requirements, such as trackless mobile machinery and equipment, hydropower stations, mini-subs, pumps, electrical supply, and electrical panel installations to prevent standing time.
Responsible for all overtime and control thereof in the conventional and trackless engineering section.
Appointment As per Regulation 2.13.1 for conventional and trackless mobilemachinery
Responsibilities include Wham Initiativefor the surrounding community and other off-mine projects. Technical Functional Level ofProficiency
